This course introduces students to the principles of design using photo editing and vector  illustration programs. Each lecture will focus on the principles of good design while walking students through tutorials on how to use the design programs. Students will be given exercises to work on during class and at home. These exercises will give students the opportunity to practice using graphic design tools, exercise their creativity, and create some amazing designs they will be proud to display. In class, students will also explore graphic design trends and their applications. Students will learn to receive and give constructive critiques to improve design work. Projects will include but are not limited to: website creation, logo design, photo manipulation, vector character creation.
